What do I need to bring?
There is more specific information in each workshop's details about what to bring. These items are all useful if you have them:
Sewing Scissors for fabric and embroidery scissors for thread
Pins in a pincushion
Cutting board and rotary cutter
Do I need my own sewing machine?
Do bring your own sewing machine if you have one - it is so much better to get used to your own machine if you can. I have a limited number to borrow though so get in touch if you would like to borrow one.
At children's classes I will set up machines for their use - my sewing machines have speed control which makes them ideal for children to learn on!
Do I need to bring fabric and thread?
It is a great idea to bring your own fabric - that way you will actually like what you have made!
For the children's classes materials are provided for all small projects. Once they advance and want to sew larger items such as clothing it is necessary for them to provide their own material.
Help I have never sewn in my life before!
Don't worry if you are a complete beginner - some sessions will be easier than others - but the whole point is to learn to sew!
Can I attend just one session?
Yes! Just book the session you are interested in - there is no pressure to come every week. If you want to join just part of a course just get in touch with Millie through the contact page.
Why do I have to book - can I just turn up?
The booking system is to limit places and make sure that we keep the group the perfect size!
